From 2004-2011 Brian was involved in working with over 120 corporate sponsors and raising funds for 170 children’s hospitals. As Chief Development Officer of Children’s Miracle Network he has overseen the non-profit capital fund raising campaigns exceeding $240 million annually. During the past four years, four new lines of fund raising campaigns have been introduced and implemented to allow the international charity to remain innovative in philanthropy. Over $1 billion in capital fundraising campaigns has been raised under Brian’s leadership.
Brian has over 27 years business experience in entrepreneurship, motivational speaking, executive management, and business coaching. He is a globally recognized expert in business planning, strategic planning, infrastructure development, entrepreneurship, sales and operations, and has written 9 highly successful books. Three of his books are course textbooks at the collegiate level, and have also received prestigious awards. These books are: The Complete Book of Business Plans; Tactical Entrepreneur; and Your First Business Plan.
During the past two and a half decades Brian has trained thousands of business executives and is an expert in corporate strategy assisting companies in achieving 100% to over 4000% growth in annual sales. During his career, Brian has been instrumental in raising over $500 million needed to launch and expand small business ventures.
Brian has held the position of Regional Vice President for the IT Consulting Division of Sprint. Under his leadership this division grew from 11 to 53 branches in five years; increased employee growth from 300 to over 1,300 employees; and sales increased an average of 41% annually. Brian headed up the team to develop the strategic plan to merge with Sprint, which included a $425 million buyout.
Brian has owned successful businesses in manufacturing and consulting, and has developed hundreds of business plans to launch and execute new ventures and new product operations. He was an Adjunct Professor at the University of Utah in the Graduate Entrepreneurship Program in the David Eccles School of Business from 2001 to 2011.
As a radio talk show host on KFYI AM in Phoenix, AZ, Brian hosted the talk show “All About Business” where the focus of topics was geared towards assisting entrepreneurs and sr. managers in running a better organization.
Brian was a member of the BYU National Championship Football Team in 1984, where he played defensive back and kick return specialist. He was a two-Sport All American, and four sport All State athlete in high school. As a sprinter in track and field, Brian set five records in the State of Utah. His records in the 100 meters and 200 meters still stand 30 years later.
